SMEC (Samsung Machine Tools Engineering Company) was founded in 1988 as part of the Samsung Heavy Industries Group and is now an independent machine manufacturer based in South Korea. The company’s products include CNC lathes, machining centres and robotic solutions for the automotive, aerospace, electronics and moulding industries, among others.
SMEC’s equipment is known for its precision, speed and high performance. The company has been in technology partnerships with Mori Seiki and Toshiba, among others. SMEC has ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications and CE approval for its products.
In Finland, SMEC machines are used particularly in series production and subcontracting workshops.
